Default Soft Shifts with Converter?

I have a Vigi 3200, I got a chance to ride in a stock converter car and noticed my car shifts a ton softer than a stock converter car like I can hear the shift more than feel it . Couple people I talked to said the same thing with their converters. Why is this? BTW, I love having a converter, its like driving a different car.

Your looser than stock converter is acting as a cushion between the engine and transmission. The looser the converter, the more it cushions it.

You can install a shift kit to get the feel back.
