Default Interesting smell...

I am beginning to notice a "hot glue" odor coming from my car and cannot figure out what is causing it. The reason I post this in the transmission section is because, sometimes when I pop into 1st gear for a few seconds for whatever reason the smell comes. Any other time, the transmission works perfectly, no odors, no noises. It's a stock 4l60e and I'm just turning over 63k miles, never had the tranny touched (not even a fluid change, any input on that?)

Thank you very much,
Kyle

If it is not the tranny, why would high revs cause that odor?

Ah, my coolant looks dirty. :/

Should probably flush that, anyone know how much off the top of their head?

This is true, but if it's a heat issue, then something is melting, or so it smells.

I'm gonna see about getting my tranny fluid changed, I'm so stoked to break the bank
