Default Anyone using a transbrake with 4L60?

Is anyone using a Rossler transbrake with a 4L60 transmission? If so, I am interesting in particulars such as the differences in reaction times between the footbrake and transbrake, launch rpms, breakage, etc. Thanks.

i wouldnt even waste my money putting a trans brake on the 4l60. i broke mine with just a set of gears and my buddy blew his trans after installing a converter. y not just go with a th400 setup. they handle great power.

We ran our Circle D 4L60E for a couple of years and it held up fine to our 538rwhp/500rwtq 408 stroker. We had a ton of passes and on it and never had a problem. We had Circle install the Rossler transbrake and beat on it for about 8 months, but traction was hit or miss with the power we had and the 4L60e low 1st gear. We never broke anything, but due to the wheelstands and traction issues we decided to go to a glide to tame it down. The reaction time was greatly improved once you get used to launching off the TB. A TB is almost a must if you are racing on a .400 pro-tree.

I will say it's a violent launch off the TB so a well built transmission is required. Using a sub-parr transmission, rearend or converter would = trouble. I ran a 2 step at 2500rpm to help the car hook off the TB. I think if we had been a 450ish H/C car, it would have been a great set up.

The link in my sig shows a video of my wife leaving off the TB for the first time.

Here is the link to the thread I made, its in the sticky at the top of the forum. I installed the prototype in my car in 2004. I twisted a 31 spline moser axle but never broke a hard part in my rossler transmission.
