Default TH400 Tranny Cooler Parts List

I searched around a little bit in the other thread but didn't really find what I was looking for. I was wondering if anyone doing TH400 install on an '02 Camaro has ever made a "Parts List" for the lines, fittings, etc needed to put the tranny cooler on. I'm getting ready to do a T56-->TH400 swap and would like to order all the parts and pieces I need to mount/install the cooler. Also any suggestions on which brands to use would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you, in advance, for you help!!!

Well, there are several options depending on what you want to do and how much you want to spend.

I'm running a pushlock style setup on mine.

Here's my parts list for my TH350 setup.

2 ERL-981662 1/8 NPT to -6 AN (each fitting out of the trans, th400 uses 1/4 NPT to -6)
2 AER-FBM1532 -6 AN to Pushlock -6 hose 90 Degree
1 AER-FCV0620 20ft roll -6 pushlock hose (cut to lenth)
2 AER-FBM1512 -6 AN to Pushlock -60 hose Straight
1 FLX-4126-6 Transmission Cooler (Or any cooler of your choice)

It's a flex-a-lite cooler. It's 10x20. I got all my stuff at my work, I work at a local Speed Shop.

You can purchase those exact parts from summitracing or jegs also.

I've been told that the plate-type coolers are better than the tube & fin-type. What is your opinion?? For a plate setup, this is what I was looking at: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

From my understanding, plate type coolers are better than tube & fin type coolers. But I got a good deal on this cooler, and we'll see how it works out. If it gets hot, I'll switch.

Yes. Most coolers have 3/8 inlets and outlets, but some have AN inlets/outlets too, if that's the case, then you just change your two fittings at the end of your lines to your cooler.

Those lines are for pushlock high temp hose usually blue in color. I am running almost the exact same setup as the other guy with the exception of a derail cooler. You should be fine.

No, they are pushlock fittings only.

Ok, yeah between you guys and a little research on summit's web site, I think I'm getting a pretty good picture of what I'm looking at. How about pros and cons of high temp hose vs. steel braided line??

It is all in the routing you choose, keep the silicone hose away from headers and sharp edges and it will do just a good a job at a fraction of the cost.
