Is a 700r4 from an s10 4x4 the same as one from a fullsize gm 4x4?

Yes and No they are the same trans however you will note that the ears have been cut from the S10 "assuming a 4.3." you can put the s10 unit in the full size but will have to leave out two of the converter cover bolts, Or you can put the full size unit in the S10 but you will have to cut the ears to clear the exhaust and make it look like the S10. Its not hard and if you look carefully at the flats where the ears should be on the S10 unit GM did the same thing you can ussually see the cutting marks.
