Default $l80 new build problems HELP!!!!

This is going to hard to explain but ill try. I built the 4l80 with a Transgo MVB tranny .This is my first one, but i have built 400TH and worked fine, I put the trans in and started the car and put it in gear( on jack stands) and had no reverse but here's the thing, When i put in reverse it would go in but not tune like it is (bound up), i put it in forward gears, works fine ,Then i would move the shifter in all gears back and forth slowly checking each gear, the all of a sudden the reverse started to work but then i had no 1st & 2nd they would go in gear but (bould up). Then put it in park and it all reverses, no reverse and but have forward gears. It does it erratically, But they dont do it at the same time , if i have reverse then no 1st & 2nd. Every thing in the tranny is new. I checked the pump pressure they are

With the mod.hookup Mod. unhooked
P. 170) (P. 200
R. 270 no reverse) (R. 320 working / 270 not working
N. 170 )(N. 220
O.D .160) (O.D. 200
D. 170) (D. 190
2. 150) (2. 190 working / 150 not working
1. 150) (1. 190 working / 150 not working

i would almost swear the man valve isnt in the shifter shaft pin, like maybe behind the slot instead of in the slot, if thats possible-just a guess
i remember when i had my man v/b, as i went thru the gears, kind of in between them it would build higher pressure
maybe somebody has a better answer
were all the valves in the v/b free, not hanging up
i see your looking for a 04-05 v/b, i orig found one from a salvage place, $225, but bought a comp tranny for $250, used the v/b to go back to auto in my ex trans, so i have a spare tranny w/o a v/b, lol
good luck-love my fully auto now

I pulled the valve body and the shift selector was hooked up , But i made a mistake installing the TransGo MVB kit . I for got to drill the two .120" cross bleed holes on the out side of the valve body . There's so miny hole that hast to be drill. I cant believe I done that, I checked and rechecked and still mist them. I call TransGo and they told me the holes work with the reverse and low gears. So ill have it up back running tomorrow and hope this fixes it.

I always check off the steps I've done, and when they have you drill a hole with a different range of sizes I always write the size down. Same thing with different spring colors, circle or write the color down.

And when I take a break I check my notes over. If I have a problem I can give a specific feed hole size or spring color that was used.

It happens especially with kits such as that. Way over complicated for such a simple task.

Well if you get in a bind, I'll sell you my swiss cheesed valve body I took out. Your right, there is a butt ton of holes to drill. For future reference, I hope anyone buying a new manual kit buys Trinity's manual kit. You'll kick yourself in the *** if you see their instructions. haha

If this don't fix my problem ,then ill get a stock valve body and get a Trinity manual kit.
Does any thing haft to be change in the trans its self, to use the Trinity ?
Because I really don't want to pull the trans again ,unless there something wrong inside of it to be causing my problem

No, the internal mods can stay. I went with Trinity's tbrake and pcs controller on mine, but I have thier manual kit instructions. 2 groves and 2 holes, if I remember correctly. Nothing like the Transgo kit.

The pressures stayed about the same. The rpms were at 1200 with the tires rolling on jack stands. When i shift it on the jack stands ,it instant but i really want know till i get it on the ground. I cant drive it right now because I'm having my front stock WS6 rims narrowed to 5" for skinnys, and just installed a Sphon tubular K-member and upper & lower control arms, And waiting on my Sphon drag bar. I hope next week ill be on the road.

You have to internally dual feed to use the Trinity kit, with the transbrake at least.

Each kit has it's advantages.

The two holes side by side in the same passage that we spoke about?

Yes, It the two bleed holes that are side by side that are drilled horizontal on the out side of the valve body that goes between the bolt hole. That on the TransGo sheet diagram#A17. If any body that install this kit , remember to drill ALL the hole or you can have the same problem as me.
