Default Transmission Problem

Well I went to the track this weekend and had nothing but trouble. First I went through the waterbox to get ready for my burnout and when i got ready to heat the tires the car just reved way to freely and it wouldn't even hardly turn the tires over until i floored it it acted as if the transmission was slipping terribly. My 60ft went from a 1.69 to a 2.13. Also after that run i had to give the car way to much gas to actually get it to move. I have never had any issues like this before. So i checked the fluid and it looked new and smelled new, and it also seemed to shift ok afterwards, my question is could i be having a converter issue. it has a 3600 stall of a company i won't mention but they are not a sponsor on the site. Please let me know what you guys think.

In your tuning have you had the test for the code PO757 removed. It sounds like you went into limp mode. Once you turned the car off everything was normal again correct?

no the car has been tuned and has always run flawlessly since. the car is running alot better than it was at the drag stip that day but it still isn't right. and there has never been any codes on my car since it being tuned last season.

Tuned yes but many tumes tuners do not remove the test for that code. Though it may not iluminate the check engine light.
The symptom your describing does sound like limp mode to me and thats the direction I would look in.

would it go into limp mode because of heat or what would cause it to do this.
