Default stock torque arm will not go back in - PLEASE HELP!!!

I am trying to reinstall my stcok torque arm to the rear before I reinstall my trans. Like a dumbass I took it all the way off when I took out my trans. The car is sitting on 4 jacks stands. I am unable to get the torque arm installed to the rear because the end of the torque arm will not fit onto the bolt holes. It is too tight. I am not sure if possibly my torque arm is bent or what. I have tried lowering the car and no luck. ANY IDEAS??? Thanks.

Put a jack under rear end and use it to put an angle on it. It will slide right on. I did it bymyself while lying on a creeper
