New convertor
My transission temp runs at 235* after a couple of passes , could a new convertor cause this? Should i add a second trans cooler or a fan or both? if so whats the best location for another cooler?
235 is not so bad really after a couple passes. Allow a little cool down time.
You can add another cooler however i would suggest it be run in paraell with the exsisting one you dont want to much restriction caused by the coolers as this can increase engine thrust bearing wear by causing the converter to push forward more.
As for location cant really help you there.

what was the temp outside during the runs?? i ran in 80 degree weather and the temps only got to 180 and that was after a run, it would start to drop while sitting and idling. normally in 80 degree weather it runs 160. i have NEVER seen a higher then 190 reading coming from my pan mounted sensor.<<<thats a 100+ day stuck in traffic with the AC on.
Comes from pan sensor, my 1st convertor (vig) 3200 lasted two seasons and dozens of passes then started surging at idel real bad so i sent it in for restall and they said something about clutch ware and also said convertor should not lock-up during passes, maybe mine was and caused premature failure or trans temps too high.
