Default LQ4 engine 4l60-e

how can i make my 4l60e fit and early lq4 block. Im in the middle of my engine swap and this is the last thing holding me back. The crankshaft is too long so the starter doesn't engage the flywheel.

You need the flat flywheel like a 6.0 4L80E used.

That style crank (99-00) will not work with a 4l60e. Only options are 4l80e and TH400, maybe a few others.

what year LQ4? if your unsure, look at the end of the crank to see if it has a spacer, about .400 long-if there are 2 threaded holes 180 degs apart, it might
be a spacer and the engine orig had a 4l80e trans-thread a couple bolts in and it will pull the spacer off, then you should be able to use the 4l60e flywheel setup-if its one of the orig "long" cranks, not many options, swap crank or trans
