Default A-4 Trouble with the 1 - 2 shift!

I have a new 3500 stall torque converter and I'm pegging the rev limiter on my 1-2 shifts and can't seem to get the tranny to shift any earlier. I've got LS1 edit and have moved the shift MPH down by 6 - 7 MPH with no help. 2 - 3 shift is normal. Any ideas? I changed the Pressure Control solenoid but that was no help (P0748 code posted).

HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Thanks

Are you putting the car in 3rd or OD?

Some guys bang the rev limiter if they have the car in 3rd.

Did you set the shift points by MPH and RPM or just MPH? If you left the RPM alone I would think that you might not have actually change the shift point. Different years work different ways. With my '02 I just moved the RPMs up and left the MPH alone and it works fine. However, that method doesn't work on '98s (so I hear.)

Maybe someone with a '98 can clarify?

I tried both MPH, then RPM, then both together.

I tried in 3rd and OD.

Thanks for the replies!
