Default bad pump?

Hi, I'm having problems with my newly rebuilt tranny. I used to have a tci 3000 stall in the car when I dragged it, but my tranny finally went out with 112000 on it so I decided to get it rebuilt and toned down for longevity and durability but still hopped up much better than stock. I went down to a 2000 stall speed, had my transmission guy rebuild it, installing a shift kit and modifying for better flow and hi performance clutches and such as that. He put a new oe-style pump in it, which I'm wondering if it needs or would do better with a high volume pump? But anyways after getting the transmission in this past weekend, the car won't move. I didn't let it run long after I allowed enough time for the fluid to get circulated. I hope nothing is messed up. My question is could I have damaged the pump installing the transmission? I'm not an idiot and have pulled it out twice before and put it back in. I don't recall anything being bound up or applying any pressure to the converter. I do know that I have a tci flywheel on the car and it is a close fit since it is thicker. Could it be applying too much pressure pushing the trq converter back against the pump? or any other simple ideas? I hope it is something simple but I have a feeling I will have to drop it back down.

Remove a cooler line and start the car if nothing sprays you have a broken pump.
