My buddies 02 T/A was shifting fine and the trans is only 6 months old. We just installed a fast 92 92 on the engine and now sometimes it will hit the rev limiter for a second before shifting. The engine was already making around 400 to the wheeels before the fast. The convertor is a 4000 stall. I was just wondering if the increased output of the motor due to the intake change could warrant some trans tuning to fix the issue, like shift timing. Thanks.

The increased engine power causes the engine rpm to rise at a faster rate, More than likley the shift point is set to close to the rev limited, The shift is comanded but since the RPM are climbing faster there is not time to complete the shift so you hit the limiter
