Well guys got the performabuilt level 2 put in, man I love it so far night and day over the stock unit, it is pretty manageable/stockish feeling at light throttle but once you start to lay into it, you will get a big grin on your face as you get thrown into your seat anyhow I cant wait to get the car to the track and see what I can lay down with this awesome tranny helping me get down the track!

i can vouch for the level 2 also. my friend has one with a yank 3600..... love it.

 

I installed my level 2 with their 9.5" 4000 stall a couple months back, and love it. just want to get the tune straightened out and get it to the track.

 

i agree very good product.... its killer strong.... and if you put it in 1 and launch and shift to 3rd this thing shifts like a rocket launch.... I gotta babby mine my rear screams for mercy lol 12 bolt her i come...

 

i was wondering if permabuilt had any good rebuild kits for the stock 2002 ss auto tranny

 

Performabuilt is awesome, I still havnet got mine in the car yet and its been sitting in my shed for a month now lol. Im waiting to get my engine built. I mean really though, who else could you go with that will rebuild the trans for $950 after the warranty is up?

 

Unfortunatley we do not sell complete rebuild kits only complete transmissions

I was happy with my Level 1 from Performabuilt. It withstood full boltons, stall, and 150 shot just fine!

My level 3 drove like stock when easy on the throttle, and when you got on it harder, the shifts were sooo fast and hard. Very cool feeling.

+2 for Performabuilt.

Did you use one there stalls when you got your trans.

 

I had a Vig 3k in the Level 1

And a Yank PT4000 in the Level 3

Oh not at all! My Level 1 was still workin perfect when we pulled it out. Only reason I went to the level 3 was that the level 1 wasn't rated for the power of my new motor.
