Default Help me choose a converter for 2.73s

I drive my car 300+ miles a week for work, and it will see the 1/8 mile about once a week and I am really leaning towards the Yank SS3600. The car has bolt-ons now, and will eventually have a 100-150 shot, and MAYBE a cam at some point. Anyone with 2.73s and a stall care to chime in?

Thanks.

I have the Yank PY3600 in my 80E with 2.73s in the rear. It takes about 2500-3000 rpms for normal acceleration around town, but of course, same rpms on the highway as stock stall due to lock-up. It feels significantly slower than my old set-up - a 60E with a 4k stall, but I attribute that more to the taller 1st gear ratio of the 80 more so than the converter.

I get about 18mpg mixed driving (with some aggressive driving involved occassionally ). I was getting around 21-22mpg when it was completely stock. Once again, you'll probably get slightly better due to the shorter 1st gear in the 60.

Yank 3600 is a good stall choice, but in reality I plan on stepping up to 3.42 or 3.73 for better throttle response in part throttle applications.

An SRLS Billet 9.5 " converetr set at 3600 would be my recomendation as it will drive virtualy stock under light pedal and shine when you nail it. They are on special for the month of may for 695.00.
