Default TCI 3500 Converter Repair

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone knew of who would be able to repair a 3500 converter. It was given to me by a local board member that was going to chuck it out but didnt know what was exactly wrong with it. He did mention that it made a strange sound when driving but that was about it. Any suggestions ? I could really put this to use if I go h/c later on im just not doing that any time soon, but I would like to get an idea what it would cost to fix it.

Thanks

Well if its a TCI they would surely go over it;but if you check FTI's website they say they will restall/refresh other converters for $125.That is a deal forsure. You could check other sponsers too.
