Default Can't stall converter at the track.

I have a stage 5 RPM trans. and a Vig 3 disc 4000 stall converter. On the street I can stall it, punch the gas, and it just blows the tires off. At the track when it hooks, the car barley moves, and hits 4th gear right about the 330' mark. Now if I just stab it from idle it does fine at the track. It feels like the tranny is slipping, but it's not hot, and like I said I can punch it from idle, stall it on the street, and it runs great.

Any ideas? The tune seems dead on, and hit the shift points great.. I don't know if it could be the converter?

Thanks.

Are you taking off in 3rd gear? Might be setting a slip code when you stall it up and putting the trans in fail safe.

I make all my runs with the car in drive, just as I always have. It's not throwing a code in the logged run we have.

Yup we logged it.

From what I remember it shifted out of first at 19mph then 2nd at roughly 26mph 3rd at 35mph and I can't remember forth gear. The TPS was at 100%.

What's strange is the second run that it happend on, I decided to manually drop it into 3rd gear and the car shot off like any car usually would. Simply stated if I stall it at the track and it hooks, the car won't move, but if I stab it at idle it shifts perfectly.

Lastnight after I left the track I went out on a country road and tried it again. I stalled it up, mashed the gas, and it blew the tires off. We sent the log file to RPM and they said tune looked fine. I can't see it being an engine issue, the car saw 30* of timing, and no knock even when it ran poorly. I believe RPM is saying it's not the converter, or the transmission. What else is left?

Here is the log and the tune. The run starts at about the 7000 mark. Tune commands WOT shifts at 6700 RPM. MPH for first gear I believe is 28.

If the car is stalled and leaves at 2500 RPM the car wont go above 3800 RPM anf shifted at 17 mph. If you leave of idle the car does fine. No knock, no timing pulled. It's only if the car hooks and leave while being stalled.
