H/C full bolt-ons, VIG3,200, 24,000gwv cooler, stock tranny and 3.23 gears. was a daily driver with mostly city driving, 20+ track passes on slicks with 150shot spraying threw the gears and out of the hole. best time with it was a 10.85@128
I put the stall in at about 31K was stalled this was about 20K before the car was wrecked at 50K. tranny was still going good actually. If you change the fluid oftern and put the largest tranny cooler in it you can it should be alright. heat is one of the number one killers of a transmission. driving around west Texas my tranny temps ranged between 160-180* in town. I never let it get over 200*

Personaly I would put anything less than a 3600 in your car as they can be built to drive virtually stock until you nail it and the trans temp wont go off the chart. A cooler is always recomended as this is the #1 killer of transmissions. But to the question at hand a 3200 will be fine. The converter does not break the transmission but the right foot with power under it will.!!!LOL

I have my original trans in my car at 73,000 miles and it still shifts fine! 43,000 miles on the Vig 2800! I always get my trans fluild flushed once a year, and I have a big transcooler installed! I have hit 11's four times this year and the trans is still locking up ok! I been blessed! The right tuning is important!
