Default th400 transbrake for reverse

So I installed a th40 with a brake in my car last fall but reverse didnt work, I remember someone saying it had to do with the RMVB and having to engage the brake to goin reverse. is this true? do I just toss it in reverse hit the brake and hit the gas or am I missing something?

Depending on which valve body you used if it is a pro brake then most of them you have to put the car in neutral and press the brake button to engage reverse. We offer a street brake that you don't have to do this with. Simply put in reverse and back up!!!

yup. Mine you cant use neutral for reverse. It has to be in reverse and then press the trans brake button down, wait for it to engage and back up.

It all depends on the manufacturer of the valve body.

I have an FTI TH400 w/ transbrake. All of my gears work w/out engaging the T-brake.

Thats because of the brake design i have in your transmission. A protree brake with safety reverse you have to mash the brake to back up.
