No, it was just installed the day before I made this thread. The heads and cam package was installed a couple of months ago.
I shifted at about 6300-6350 with the internally stock engine.

Colonel, I was wondering if I would be safe if I ran a stall as high as 3500 on stock heads. Would I keep full driveability or would it be a little more difficult to drive?

NV, I guess I should change my sig. It still says stock internal for this car. If you're interested in learning about my heads/cam setup, do a search for "Stealth" in the internal section (my cam is called the Stealth II.) There's one thread in particular where I give a full rundown on the power and drivability of this cam.
Silver, there are people running 4600 stalls with stock engines. For a daily driven streetcar, a 3500-3800 stall is just about perfect. And keep in mind that some converter companies (Vigilante in particular) misrate the stall speed of their converters. This means a 3600 could actually be a 4200.
BTW, the heads have nothing to do with drivability of the converter.

great to hear!
if ever $1000 fell on my lap,
i planned to get a SS4000E
i thought going from 3400/2.0 > 4000/2.6
wouldnt be THAT bad
if i also went 2.73 > 3.73
no more racing from a dead stop on the street though
