i would shift it thats what i do with mine.

With roll races its awesome cause your already in the gear and ready to go. i am no to sure about dig races. i went to the track and shifted myself on one pass then then the computer do the shifting on the next pass and i picked up 2 more MPH shifting than i did letting it shift on its own. but my numbers where all over the place that night. just my 2 cents

When you take off, rev it up to about 4 grand and drop it into drive, then shift up through all the gears. When you are going from 1st --> second, go to N first and rev it up then slam it in 2. i used to do this in my GTO

Yea I do that too.. instead of dropping it into Drive I drop the Clutch.

I hope you aren't serious with that one..

With the Auto you let it shift itself. Only on a roll race is when I would put it in the proper Gear, but as soon as I punched it I would put it in Drive. From a dig start in Drive and let the Computer shift it.

from a roll depending on my speed ill drop it down. ive shifted from a stop when racing but you chance hitting your revlimiter if you dont shift it right.
