What torque Convertor do i need

I spoke to Circle-D on the phone earlier. My tranny is already being built locally, if i wouldn't have already paid the guy locally, i would give him my business. Very knowlegable, and seems like a pretty nice guy.

For your application a converter in the 3200 range is perfect, 3400 at most. These motors make a broad range of power. A 3200-3400 will put you right in your torque curve. I watched 2 bolt-on cars with exact same mods both go 12.28 within 3 minutes of each other. One car had a fuddle 2800 and the other had an SS4000. The guy with the SS4000 got about a tenth better 60' and a better 1/8 mile, but it really fell flat in the back half and lost a lot of mph at the 1/4 mark. The 2800 pulled hard all the way down the track. From a bracket racer's prospective, I would rather have the smaller stall that will have a good top end so I can play games with people and not worry about them coming around me. Just my .02
Would this be a good stall for a bolton car with a 224/224 cam? $375 is a great pirce thinking of doing a cam down the road, and 3200 seems like the stall for me.
We have our 11" 3200 that sounds perfect for your application. Very affordable - only $375 for tech members. Great street manors and the 3200 stall will make a noticeable difference in performance. It should knock of .3-.4 in the 1/4 mile with almost no loss of MPG and street manors.
