Drove to Houston, Towed it back!

Ok so I drove to houston from Harlingen, Tx, about 350 miles, when in town, a mile away from my destination, My transmission turned into a manualmatic and I lost O/D. My check engine light immediatley turned on when I heard a sound come from beneth me. So being on the safe side I rented a Enterprise F-150 and a trailor to tow it back the same day!!!!!!!!! I have a rebuilt tranny w/ shift kit, 4000 stall and trans cooler. Heres the thing about it.. . . . . . That was about 1 1/2 months ago. It seems to drive fine now. Ive taken it WOT up to 150 no problem. What the hell happened?

sounds like you just went into limp mode, Did you scan for codes and has the test for po757 been removed?

Yet to check for codes. I thought since the engine light turned off a few seconds after I started it a week after the trip, there was no problem.

if your car isnt tuned for that 4000 stall it might of went into limp mode, it used to happen to me before i had my trans am tuned. did it seem like it was stuck in 2nd gear?

Same thing happened to me, took it for some retuning and that was that!

Hey Dirtybird have you taken your car to Monster Motorsports in Mcallen? I saw one there one day that looked just like yours.

Yeah was there. Car didnt want to start and then when i finally got to run, I didnt get the greatest burnout and spun the BFG Drags. who does that?
