Well, when I think about it, that's when the shitty shifts started. I just have to know if there's any way this can actually contribute to not shifting on WOT.

Well first off I'm hoping you I pipe isn't really welded to your axle in any location cuz the axle needs to articulate, your exhaust however should not...

And second no cutting your muffler off would not directly effect your transmission's shifting in any way shape or form...
However, Maybe when you cut off your muffler you got on it harder and more often cuz it sounded better, putting more strain on the trans in the process, causing it to fail???

Highly unlikely on the on it harder, I've always driven it pretty mildly unless I was just showing off to a friend or **** racing someone on the highway. My mistake on the I-pipe part, it's more of the bend after the I-pipe that goes right over the axle that's welded on and it's turned down right there naturally.

Haha, I was more or less hoping this was the problem as I plan on going to long tubes and true duals eventually anyways and could deal with the shifting until then.

On second thought, I may have to recheck. It's been a while since I've been under the back of my car. It may be on a mount and I'm just remembering something weird.

Haha, sorry. I read a 4l60e rebuild thread earlier and I have a little bit more understanding of how the transmission works(i.e. I now believe there's more of a possibility that something besides my computer is causing this transmission to fail). I considered a rebuild if it was failing and decided that was a no go because I don't have time and it would likely go better for a core to a performance tranny from one of our sponsors. Would 1600 be worth it for

Hoping I'm not breaking any rules, seeing as how that is one of our sponsors. I'm still praying it's something easy to fix other than replacing the tranny, mainly because I could use 1600 on an intake, hookers, and true duals with some left over for tuning.

I have been trying to fix the not shifting right problem a long time now,I got it fixed ,I had the trans built and all my problems are solved,unless you have a very close trans buddy to help you out ,get with some of the builder sponsors to fix you up,all people build them a different way,but all the these guys know there stuff,and it will be done right.
