i have a 96 z28 that im trying to piece together. i sourced a rebuilt motor but im having the hardest time sourcing a trans for it. from my understanding the tranny has to come from a 96 or 97 Z. but every trans im finding has at least 120k or more on it for way too much money. the next best thing i can think of is a 4l60e out of a 94 thru 98 chevy truck or something. is there anyway i can get one to work on a camaro? i already have a tailshaft from a 97 Z if that matters.please help...piecing it together is a frustrating in itself let alone not bein able to find parts.thanks

 

You will unfortunatly without doing some mods, Have to use a unit from a 96-97 caramo-firebird-impala-caprice. The 4x4 truck units do use the case you need but would require tearing down the entire trans to swap the tail shaft.

 

wats mods for a 4l60e out of 94 lt1 caprice?
