Default Circle D 2C or 3C stall

Just wondering who may be running one of these and what they think in terms of street manners and performance. I see that a good number of people are running the 4C's and have commented on them but I didn't see much about the 2C or 3C which is more like the stall range I would be interested in.

There is a fair amount of stuff about stalls in that range from other manufacturers when I search so that is why I am asking specifically one brand here. Also I live in Houston so Circle D is local

What kind of mods do you have? Cam? Goals?

I think Circle D should have RPM based products. Like a 3600 or 4000 stall fore example.

Maybe it will help people understand what they stall to

You are stalling.

I just want to know what people think about a 2C or a 3C which I think would be somewhat comparable in stall rating to a Yank SS3200 or SS3600 which there are a zillion opinions available via seach (for example).

I have an 01 Formula with LS6 cam and 243 heads/springs/valves that I got off an 03 Z06, Dynatech LTs, SLP Dual Dual, Fast Toys 85mm lid, GM 85mm MAF and the car came with 3.23s. Don't really have any goals necessarily other than fun Car is a daily driver and I am not interested in any stall over about 3600 RPM and might lean more towards 32-3400. Also would not want one that felt too loose around town.

I am not in a hurry to buy one. I mainly just wanted to learn a little more about these specifically because search didn't really turn up much.

You will love something in the 3200-3400 range. Don't go bigger.

I just installed a 3C; have not driven it yet. It looks like a great converter. I wanted a verter in the 3200 range...Just call Circle D and Chris will answer all your questions.

My 3c drives like a 4c, I've been told that by 4c owners after describing how it works.
I've also seen the 3c advertised to stall at different speeds.
My 3c is loose as **** around town, when I ordered it I specifically said I don't want a loose converter.

Loose is a relative term. I have a Circle D 4C and love it. It only takes 2200-2500 rpm to accelerate normally up to speed which to me is not too loose. It is one step above a Yank SS3600 in terms of looseness imo.

So whats your guess on what rpm you'd be turning if you had a 3c?

This is a stock weight Z28 with a full exhaust and lid, thats it, stock 3.23's, stock tire size. It dyno'd 325 hp. Runs 12.001 DA corrected or 12.3 on the slip. Driving normally it regularly sees 3000 rpm accelerating as needed to avoid pissing people behind me off.

I have a Circle D 2c in a FLT LV4 trans. I love this converter. I am a stock internal 01 SS. My best b4 the converter and trans was 12.99@107. After the trans, verter and headers with a little weight out...11.99@113. The 2c is nice around town not requiring much to get it going. And it can take some spray too. 150 shot= 10.94@125. Very happy with Circle D's product.
