My 4L60E Took A Crap, Who Would You Recommend To Have Rebuild It?
#22
A have a performabuilt lvl2 with a 3200 stall, all my car friends have their opinions and they raved about a local guy. Took them for a ride in the lvl 2 told them the price to my door, told them about the $950 cost to rebuild if I break it or it needs rebuilding out of warranty. They couldn't believe how civil the car is when cruising and what a beast it is when hammering it.
They ask me about all the parts in the trans and I tell them I don't know, I didn't memorize the parts list because the drive does the talking and not the driver. My point is I went crazy trying to compare clutches, rebuilding methods, set up differences, the bottom line is it works and works well. I'm not much into bragging or talking I just want it to work.
I don't have it in my sig but I have a turbocharged firehawk.

You won't be disappointed with any FLT/Yank combo I can assure you! Just take a look around at how many of the fastest/quickest A4 cars & trucks have this combo in them. Enough said!

Are you looking for a trans for the vehicle listed in your Sig? If so you definitely need a level 5 with a billet output shaft. The level 3 is a good trans but I would not push it over 700hp in a FI nos application. The planets and the input drum are much stronger in the level 5 or higher builds and that is what you will need. Vince

Also, What is the differance between the Level 3 and the Level 4?
Great Run!

I have the lvl2 performabuilt, 2 or so years and going strong. Car is constantly hammered on. Customer service you ask? One year after buying my trans I was putting in a Yank converter and was having trouble with somethings on the install. I'm talking on the phone getting help with this and that on a sunday afternoon, not even his dam product. Cant get much better than that.

I have been reading some of your comments in other posts you have made. Mostly in the for sale forums. Seems like you have had issues with Rossler and RPM if I read them correctly. Both of which are very good builders. Not to say that we could not have made a mistake but I guaranty that your trans did not leave here making noise. Maybe your driving habits might have something to do with why you are having issues. At this point to me it almost sounds like you are trying to bash a bunch of companies here on tech. I could be wrong but hard to say by just seeing your screen name. Feel free to pm me with your contact info and we will contact you. Name and number would be appreciated. Vince

Here is the million dollar question.
Can anyone on build a 4l60e for a nitrous f body and or a nitrous single cab truck and warranty it? These are nothing crazy, just cam, with full bolt ons and a good amount of nitrous. The car WILL be sprayed through shifts and out of the hole.
