Installed pt4400 yesterday.....car runs great in first and second just then just shifts to 4th according to hptuners scanner. Just revs up and can put it in 3rd and same thing until it gets enough to drop to 2nd gear.....What could be the problem? Tuning? Trans dead? Ive only put 30 miles on it since install and no WOT.

 

I would go with getting a tune. Sounds like the computer might not know how to handle the big change to the Stall. Is it locking up? Did you engage the pump when you put the Torque Converter in? (Spin the torque converter on the Transmission snout)

 

yeah i seated it on the trans.....three clicks measured and all the measurements were rite according to yank so I dont know what it could be.....

 

Is the scanner showing the shift to 3rd and fourth commanded. Us HPTUNERS to lock the converter before the 2-3 shift and when when the 2-3 is commanded does it feel like neutral? If so you have a dead 3-4 clutch set. Bad luck there
