sry guys, another converter question
hey guys. the set up i'm trying to get a converter for is a cam car with full exhasut. heads may be coming some time later, but for now thats what i can do. the cam is a c2, which is 224/224 .582/.581 112lsa. my question is if a 3600 is big enough to make use of the cam, or would a 3800 be better? i'm either looking at a vigi or a yank. thanks for the help guys.
A 3600 would do good but a 3800 would do better. Maybe that's not the answer you were looking for but it's the truth. Even with a STOCK cam the 3800 will do better...and a 4200 will do better still.
Remember, when comparing stall speeds, Yank rates them for what they really are, Vig UNDERRATES them. A Vig 3600 is really a 4300. So, make sure you're comparing apples to apples. If you want a Vig in a 3800 you'll want to order the 3200. Don't ask me why they rate them this way. It's been like that for as long as they've been doing LS1 converters.
I'd go with a TCI 3500-3800 or a Yank SS3800-4000 if I were you.

You cant go wrong with yank, I think anything from a 3200-4400 stall will compliment your cam great, but its up to you. How much time do you spend on the track, for a daily driver I would recommend something 3800 or less, if you go higher than that it will be very loose. Good luck man
