For you guys with the SS4000, how does it fair when roll racing? I love it around town and from a dig, but it just doesn't seem to have the upper pull my SS3600 did around 100plus

SS4000 with 3.73 gears and headers doing 1.64 60". Not very good at top end but its nothing my cam can't fix. Car doesn't get driving often but very fun to drive. Would buy the SS4000 again.

On the contrary I am pulling the driver side front wheel off the ground about six inches and running a 12.2 but with a ET of 108. With the heads and cam I am about to do I will not be lacking in top end power. Overall I really do enjoy the converter.

Pulling one wheel 6 inches? And only running 12.2 @ 108. Maybe you mean .6 inches.

Mine is awesome from a slow (25) roll and a dig, I was just wondering if anyone else was disappointed in the top end pull with theirs. I'm sure mine will wake up a bunch when I crack the bottle open. I may eventually go with a PT4000 if this one works alright on the juice.

I'm torn between a SS4000 and a PT4000.

I wish their was a middle fo the road option. Sounds like on the same car the SS would take the 1/8th, but the PT would take the big half. They say that the PT is a faster converter and you will get a better ET with it, but the SS seems like a better Street/Strip option, and the high STR makes for a hell of a launch.

I noticed a difference in top end pull between the ss4000 and pt4400, pt4400 is better imo. I havent got the pt4400 to fully hook up but I dont its going to 60 as good as the ss4000 mod for mod.
