Default Yank SS3600 or SS3800?

What converter would be best for my mods (see sig)? I want a converter that drives kinda like stock since this is my daily driver. Also who has the best deal on yanks? Thanks

Define "best" and "kinda like stock." "Kinda like stock" could mean a 2600 stall in one person's eyes or a 4000 in another's.

"Kinda like stock" means how bad does it slip when your taking off compared to stock? I heard the 21 blade stator yanks drive like a 2800. "Best" means lowest price on yanks.

I am kind of under the impression that you install a different TC because you want to get away from the stock feeling. If I were you I would defiantly go with the SS3800, hell check out the YTP4200 its a great converter but will be a little loose with stock gears. I've got my TCI SSF 3500 and love it but I kind of wish I would of went for a larger stall, go with the larger stall I think it actually helps driveability. Good Luck man

Get the SS 3800. If you go less, you will want to upgrade later. It has outstanding street manners. With your lazy 2.12 60 time, you should expect a ET drop of 5-6 tenths with proper traction.

As far as the best deal is concerned, you really need to shop around. You might even get lucky and find one in the classifieds (but highly doubtful).

Definately go with the 3800, I just put one in my truck. Its a little bit loose in a 4800lb truck, but still has good manners.

Patrick, did you get that 3600 in the truck yet? Lets hear about it.

BTW, going from a TT3000 to an SS3800 gave me more performance than going from stock to TT3000! This converter ROCKS!

With the SS3800 I gained about 1 second along with the use of et sts . I have the stock 3:23 gears . This converter is explosive from dig or any mph below 40 .
