Short tail TH350??
Ok , i got tired of breaking my 4l60e in my 2002 camaro ss. I recently purchased a Th350 with the short tail and recently installed. I had to fabricate some pieces to make the mounts and everything line up. Dont have money for the BMR stuff yet. I was wondering if anyone had a problem with the yoke hitting the bottom of the car. I already replaced the transmission mount because the first one was broken. I was looking at the
"witness marks" and notice that the yoke is hitting about 3 inches from where the tunnel for the driveshaft ends. Do polly mounts stop alot of movement or should i just cut the floor and extend the tunnel?

something doesn't sound right. it shouldn't be hitting.
on another note: I just swapped from a th350 to th400. I have a BMR th350 crossmember that I will let go for $60+ shipping. The guy that bought the 350 already had a crossmember.

It should not be hitting the tunnel. if it is, its mounted way to high I would think. Ive got a TH350 in my TA using a yank crossmember (wont ever buy again, to much of a PITA to line up, go with BMR) and its not even close to hitting.

Cool, hopefully it solves all my problems. What would cause a squealing sound. When its in gear and going down the road it sounds like it has a supercharger on it. Trans shop said it sound like the planetaries (or whatever you call them) but in the original owners car it was quiet. Could it be my u joints do to the tranny sitting to high?
