Default 13 pin connector on 4L60e? (TH400 swap)

Apparently there is a 13 pin connector that goes into the passenger side of a 4L60e:

Instead of a 4L60e, I put a TH400 behind my LS1. Is it ok to leave this unplugged? I just don't want the computer to be confused.

Thanks for any help/advice

I've heard from some that it will only give u a check engine light, from others I've heard that you have to put a M6 tune... don't know which to believe...
