Default What do YOU recommend?

Right now I have a Performabuilt 3600 9.5" converter with a 1.69 STR. It was set-up for my cam only set-up and it was perfect. I took my new set-up out last night and I couldn't get it to 60' for crap, the best was a 1.66 or so. I tried leaving at 1200 to 2100 and about 1800 was the best 60'. Anyway here is my new set-up and I'm looking for opinions on a new converter. I was looking at the SS4000 from Yank.

-370CI
-3600-3750lbs
-Moser 9" with 4.11's
-28" MT DR's
-470-515 RWHP EST.

I'll be spraying a 150-200 later down the road.

You don't make enough HP to be using a 9.5" converter. You may want to consider dealing with a different company. Call a number of the leading manufactureres before you buy another.

this is quite possibly the oddest post I have read in a while.

OP, call up dave at Yank and see what he says, obviously NA and Nitrous converters are going to be a little different, so see what he says based on your specific combo.

After owning an SS3600 I would definetly recommend a Yank SS series converter to you and the SS4000 would be IMO the way to go. I would say go with a PT4000 or PT4400 but since you want to spray stick to the SS series.

The car was built to run the 7.0 index at the track, but we gapped the rings for it to be safe on a 150 shot.

I think I'll be sending it to PerformaBuilt to have it built to a 4000stall and 2.5STR. If not I'll be calling Yank and either going with the SS4000 or PT4000. I'm just a little stuck between since the car is really built for NA but if I want I can also spray it for the hell of it.

I don't think that anyone here is questioning "credentials"....just curious as to what/why you would recommend, that's all. Seems that you would have some quite valuable input, other than simply "call around and see".

I put a circle D 4c III in there today and it feels a ton better. I can get on it around 35mph and it just lights them 28" MT DR's up a good ways. Car has a few suspension mods

-QA1 Adj. shocks in all four
-Adj. LCA's
-Adj. Panhard bar
-BMR Extreme Torque Arm
and some little stuff I'm sure I'm missing.
