4L80 tune no longer *required*
I just got finished with my road test. I have a 2000 PCM running a 4L80. I did have a segment swap done, but was tired of the TCC unlocking below 5% throttle (no matter what).
Edit: I had a change of heart. I have a good bit of time in this. PM for details.
Oh BTW my converter no longer unlocks below 5% throttle.....

Also note, you will still need to move 2 pins on the Transmission (see below).

My question to you is when are you applying the tcc? Meaning which gear? I would only have it set up to work in 3rd in the D3 position or in OD.
Nice work BTW. Vince

I have it setup to lockup in 3rd - locks up at a higher mph than a shift to 4th, so that it only locks up in third when in D3
and of course 4th - between 55 and 60 mph (depending on TPS)
Thanks BTW
It should....that is the point of this post

What is this TCC engagement?
Would my converter be a lockup style?
I have the stock 2000 silverado engine/trans wiring harness too not sure about trans connections either. My tranny has the large round connector and a single two pin connector?
