Default Risky business or not?

Ok I've searched and searched on fuddle stalls, and it seems that their costumer service is completely unacceptable!

But here is the thing... I'm buying a 4k fuddle from a pretty reliable guy Sunday, with 700miles for $250! Sounds good right. I hope!

Since I'm buying it from him I'd avoid all the shipping bs that seems to be going on... And if it goes out i'll just throw the stock one back in and get a yank, circle d etc....

I just need to know what a fellow tech member would do in my situation. It's all I can afford as of now. So should I take the risk or just let this be an ongoing "yea I'm gettin a stall" and not get one til like next year....

usually if a converter "goes out" it takes the trans with it. so swapping to a different unit might not happen if the fuddle were to break. fyi

I put 15k on my 3400 Fuddle before pulling it for a built trans and billet stall (400 rwhp). No problems at all. But if yours does go out, it most likely will take the trans with it.
I would do it, but be sure and line up a replacement trans just in case. Or find someone to rebuild yours if you prefer.

There is always a risk involved with used parts. If the seller is honest its prolly fine. Lots of aftermarket converters last a long time.

Tranny has maybe 10k on it so I'd say it's good to go...

The seller is very honest. He was gonna use it for his h/c/I build but it wasn't gonna meet his build needs. So he asked me if I'd buy it for $250. And here I am now.
