4L60E trust me you do, I think the 4L80E was in the Z06.

They only offer a 6 speed in the Z06 which would be the T - 56 right? And I thought the 4L80E was automatic?

Maybe your right, I remember reading something about 4L8OE and the vette so my mind naturally linked it with the z06. Sorry for the bad info.

No 4L80E's in the F-Bodies or Corvette stock.
If they were auto they got the 4L60E
Zo6 was/is manual only: T-56

Cokeroker: if it's stock you have a 4L60E. If someone transplanted a 4L80e into your car you'd probably know because it takes some work to get one into an F-Body.

Also, on F-Bodies only the 6-speeds were available from the factory with 3.42's. The A4's got 2.73's or 3.23's

4L80E = Truck transmission.

Like said above. Any automatic Vette or F-body since 97 has been a 4L60E

4L60E I think is right.. thanks for that... (as for the 3:42 comment... that is my doing. I put in lower gears). As for the tranny question, I am just about to do a torque converter with stall.... any suggestions on which RPM I should go with?
