My guess would be to keep it more pracitcal DD/streetable.

You could run ls6 heads, ls6 cam and full bolt ons and make decent power with the stock converter

Not harping on your efforts but trying to be the fastest LS1 on a stock stall is like trying to be the fastest LS1 on Wednesday between the hours of 4:00pm-5:00pm. You are only hurting yourself by not upgrading your stall.

I'm not pushing you to go all out wild just get yourself a nice 3000-3500 stall you will not be disappointed and it really doesn't hurt your driveability as long as you have a good tune

I just wanted to see how it runs before I did anything to the transmission. More for reference than anything. I plan on getting one though

A customers car up here at bandimere 5800ft went 12.1-12.2s all night stock motor and stall only mods were header back exhaust, lid, 4.10s and 100 shot. The stock trans wont like running those times for long. This was also a 98 car.

I know of two cars that ran in the 12.20's with stock stall. This was some time ago. These cars had most of the regular mods. One of them was well tune. I hope this helps.

a stall does SO much good for an a4 car that its smart for it to be one of the first things you upgrade.
