Default Installing TC this weekend...

I ordered my Yank SS4000 converter today and plan to install it this weekend. Anything I need to know about doing this mod on these cars. It will be the first time I've had to pull the tranny. Any tricks, anything to watch out for. Thanx. Also what kind of tranny fluid do you recommend?

Just take your time and follow the directions, check everything twice. It's a pretty straight forward install. As you have read on here I would go with a good TYPE F fluid with no addatives. I dont think you will need but 1 quart of this because you want have to drain the fluid out of the tranny. Good Luck

One very important thing. When you put the new converter in make sure it is in the whole way. Should click in 3 clicks. After it's in use a straight edge accross edge of bell housing. There should be an inch or so gap between straight edge and converter.

If converter isn't in the whole way you will trash your pump and possibly mess up your new converter. How do I know this? um well someone told me that. yeah that's it.
