Flp Level 4 Tranny
Mitch & Chuck at FLP took great care of me and put together a trans that is worlds beyond what I had before.
I will return to FLP for all my trans needs in the future.
When it freshened for resale (was not slipping) the internals looked great.
Not all 4L60E rebuilds are created equal. I think that when you get a Level IV you get a lot of R&D backing it. Chuck knows how to make the 3/4 clutches live in them.
My car lived on slicks for two year and tranny never skipped a beat.
The 11.92 was on a 75 shoot BTW. He swears by them, that's what I plan on putting in my truck once the funds are available.

I work for a chevy dealership where Chuck (now with FLP) became so proficient at transmission work that he had customers driving in from out of state for advice and rebuilds. My FLP transmission shifts so smooth and pull so strong. It is incredible how good this rebuilt 4L60 has become
.The FLP level 4 is a great transmission and FLP has great customer service too

Some people get the idea that a shift needs to be hard enough to rattle your teeth after the upshift for it to be built right, but that's NOT necessarily the case. Want you want are the fastest shifts possibile that are also firm, and not necessarily just "the hardest shifts possibile". I've been in cars with built transmissions that shifted hard enough to crack the windshield, but took FOREVER to complete a gear change, and that's just not what you want....

Most likely the lvl5 tranny.
I'm assuming a lvl4 with the 5 pinion planetary is the same as a lvl5 from the above posts???
i broke the first one because i hit a dip in the road shortly after a WOT launch and the entire truck came off the ground, all 4 wheels spining as it came down.
the 2nd one broke during a nice smooth launch but i am prety sure i was over 600rwhp launching a 5000+lb truck in 4wd with wide tires. i was running 9lb's of boost and a 100shot and was seeing 1.6x 60' times. i am not sure what broke but i do know chuck designed a new "thicker" part that he uses now.
i will be going back to chuck when i need my 4l80e built, their customer service is unbeatable.
