My 2-3 shift is getting sluggish. Not really bad but it doesn't shift as quick as it should. I hit the rev limiter once, but the car hasn't been run in a while and I hit a huge bump in road and let off then gunned it right when it was supposed to shift to third.
So my question is, should I just install new clutches and a shift kit since the fluid is nice and pink/red. No burnt smell, just that one problem. Or should I spend a **** load on a fully built tranny.
I don't know what new clutches and a transgo would cost anyway.

Well the trans has to be completely disassembled to replace the clutches anyway, so you mise well upgrade a few things while you're in there.
I'd say bare minimum all new clutches and seals, new pump vanes and check for clearance, and new teflon rings on the input shaft. But then you'll still have a stock trans.
