Im building a vega, its a all out drag car, may see some street action once a month... I have a 600hp 5.3 turbo motor right now(first turbo build) Im wanting to try this out and then go with a bigger turbo and more nitrous in the future. This car will almost always only be used on the track, whats the benefits between the th400 and powerglide?
lite weight car, most drag strip use, I would go with the PG. TH400 takes more power to turn. Plus you can get SFI approved aftermarket cases for the PG, internal sheilds. Most 6 second top sportsman cars use them. If it was mostly street use, I would go with the TH400.
The car should be light. A poerglde is definately the way to go. we deal with turbo cars making 2200 hp. Granted you are not there but a glide you can grow with.
