4l60e dead?
My wife drove my car the other day and told me she heard a loud squeal as she came into the neighborhood. I checked the car when I got home from work and I have no reverse and the car won't shift out of first gear. My guess is that something finally broke or the pump failed. The car does have 140,000 and is throwing only P0507 and P0751 codes. Just curious if anyone else has had this happen or experience. I've been planning on buying a built 4l60e anyway so this just gives me an excuse to do it now.

If the pump failed you would have no motion at all. You can most likely rule that out.
Sounds like a gear/ shell broke, but I'm no trans mechanic. Sounds like you have a decent amount of power going through a weak trans with high miles and a few track passes and it finally gave up. heh.
I feel the same way you do, use the excuse to get a built unit instead of trying to rebuild that one for 50-75% of the cost of a new race unit.
I rebuilt mine like a fool and blew it in 7 days. Live and learn and help your brothers.
