Help Identify Trans Hi there,
I posted another thread about the difficulty of finding a 2wd 4l60e in my area. I found this trans on craigslist that's 300 miles away. The owner has it listed as a 4l60 out of a LS1 corvette. Clearly its not out of a corvette as its not the rear mounted transaxle design. The ad states that its out of a 2000 LS1 corvette with less than 60,000 miles on it.
Here are the pics. Does this look like it is out of an f-body? That's the only thing I can assume it came out of. Either the guy is lying that it came out of a corvette, or he's lying that it came out of a 2000 and it actually came out of a C4 or something. He wants $400 for it.
I'm needing a tranny to put behind a 5.3l L33, any thoughts?

2000 4L60 4 speed tranny with over drive. has less then 60,000 miles on it, has the torque converter and dipstick, came off the back of a LS1 that was in a corvette
