Default How To Install Tranny Cooler?!?

I have yet to install the cooler b/c I have FTRA on order. How will this interfere with the install location of the cooler? Thanks. Also, how is the LS1 setup different compartment wise from the install on the LT1 as is done on Brents page:

i just had to rig mine up somehow...i couldnt fit it inbetween the ftra and the side.. so mine wasnt perectly flat, it had a little angle to it so it could fit! but when i get done with the install, the A/C isnt going back in, thats another way!! take the a/c out!!!!! but ill end up putting mine back in between the texas heat and my g/f when she drives it!

The interference is why I hacked up my SLP CAI.
I think the hot ticket is to put the trans cooler in
the space betweeen the A/C condenser and the radiator.
This might be a little tricky and need extra vibe isolation
pads on the through-the-fins tie straps that most of
the coolers use for mounting, but it's then totally out
of the way. If not as effective when the A/C is dumping
heat....

I got looking at all the lines in their. Which ones do I unhook and hook up to the cooler??? I know it sounds stupid, but I am clueless when I went to put it on today before I remembered that my FTRA would be in the way.

I got looking at all the lines in their. Which ones do I unhook and hook up to the cooler??? I read the instructions posted at LS1.com

Installing a Trans Cooler

1. Empty the contents of the Trans Cooler Kit. I used a B&M 24,000GVW Cooler.
2. Remove the rubber caps from the input/output flares on the cooler.
3. Take the supplied tubing and fold it in half. Cut it so you have 2 equal lengths.
4. Use two of the supplied hose clamps and slide them onto the two rubber tubing pieces.
5. Slide the each piece of tubing onto the input/output flares.
6. Tighten the hose clamps.
7. Install the cooler in front of the A/C Condenser and use supplied ties and secure the cooler to the Condenser/Radiator.
8. Route the tubing up to the top of the raidator.
9. Cut the plastic and route the tubing
10. Remove the top fitting from the stock trans cooler. This is on the passenger side of the radiator.
11. Use the supplied brass bard fitting and install teflon tape on the threads.
12. Thread the fitting into the stock trans cooler.
13. Slide the flare nut back on the line that was removed from the radiator.
14. Now, route the lines and cut the tubing to fit.
15. Slide on the supplied hose clamps on to the tubing.
16. Make the connections.
17. Start the car up and top off the trans fluid level. I used 3/4 of a quart.
16. Check for leaks.

but was unsure of what was going on. I know it sounds stupid, but I am clueless when I went to put it on today before I remembered that my FTRA would be in the way.

yea i've got mine under the horns on the passenger side...i cut the vents on each side of the air dam and reversed them so they are forward scoops now and throw air directly onto the cooler
