LSX swap, but which trans?

LSX swap, but which trans? I'm building a '95 RCSB GMC Sierra with an LQ9. When I bought the LQ9, it came with a 4L65E (and transfer case). But couple weeks before that I bought a 4L80e (not knowing my motor would come with a trans.)
The truck right now is setup with a 305/700r4 combo. I know the 80e is stronger, but would the entire swap process be easier just pulling the transfercase off the 65e and putting a tailshaft on (if that's possible). Or should I just go ahead and rewire, and program the PCM for the 80e and use that? Would I have to move the cross member if I kept the 65e? Pretty sure I will with the 80e.
