Default Converter Differences?

Are there any differences between a 30 spline input 700R4 converter and a 98 and up 4L60E? Basically what I'm asking is, could a converter from an LS car be used on the older style 700R4?

They are both 30 spline, but use different lock up seal designs. One has an o-ring before the splines and the other after. They are also different height and bolt pattern. They are not interchangeable, sorry.
