Exclamation need help with trans fluid,A4?

1) how much quarts do yall put in a 4l60e and what oil is best?
2) do you change the filter,if so what filter do yall use?
3) where do you drain and fill the trans?

1: depends on the size of the converter and type of pan your using
2: GM replacement.
3: You fill the trans through the dipstick tube. Draining it is another story. If the pan has no plug then you un-bolt the pan then about 4 quarts ends up on the floor OR all over your clothes. it sucks lol

its stock stall etc..i just want to replace the fluid and filter..the car is a 98 trans am..

By dropping the pan you will need approx 5qts of fluid. You can hit up a local parts store for the parts. Dex 3 fluid. Any brand of your choice.

It is also good to have the trany flushed every once in awile. It cost about $75 + but you then know all your fluid is clean not just 4-5 qts.

This is at your own risk. I've heard plenty of horror stories regarding high-milage cars getting the tranny flushed...then

This is because of an already preexisting problem (from probably not changing the fluid).
