It tells the computer when you are in Park and Neutral and it also enables and disables cruise control.

If you take a look at any tuning software. There are a lot of PNP tables in there.

not unless you want you car to idle properly and cruise to work. You could just setup a toggle switch and flip the switch whenever you are in park and neutral. But the PNP switch should already be on a stock shifter.

Why do you need a bypass?

are you running with the 98 wiring harness or did you upgrade to the 99+ wiring harness.

I am not too sure, I just see in your signature that you have a 98. What vehicle did you do the conversion on?

I have wiring diagrams for 99+ vehicles.

So what you are saying is that, the Interior harness is a 98 harness and you got a 99 harness.

I got some bad news. I recommend you find a 98 engine harness. 98 is the bastard year when it comes to wiring. And you can not mix 98 and 99 stuff together with out major modification to both harnesses.

Take it or leave it. I have done a lot of reading and research. And done a conversion of my own.

In 98 people complained on how sensitive the 98 gauges are so in 99 GM made the gauges less sensitive. And changed the wiring harness. You can mix match between 99 to 02 but 98 is the bastard year.

You run the risk of frying your PCM. I recommend you keep doing some more reading. And I dont know where you are getting your info. But keep doing some more reading.

I surely thought you could start & run an LS1, without the Park Neutral switch wired in. I mean with an automatic LS1 harness. I am temporarily running mine this way right now.
