I take it the motor and trans are out of the car?? If so take a ruber hammer and hit along all the edges of trans then repeat and hit it so that it will break apart. had the same problem with mine and that worked for me.

did you make sure that all the bolts are out?? i know that sounds stupid but there is one bolt that is all the way at the very top of the trans that is a pain in the *** to get out.

also did you take the plastic coverers off the trans so you are able to see the converter?? You could pry from there as well.

and did you drop the k-member down to give the trans clearens to come out?? it wont come out of the trans tunner in the floor if you dont.

I used a large flat screwdriver and a crow bar, putting them between the block and the bellhousing. Move it little by little, you don't want to crack the housing by giving to much force. It took me over an hour doing this but it finally broke loose. What happens over the years is the heat generated by the engine fuses the aluminum together. It will come off eventually. Good luck.

3 times already. sounds familiar. Is that with the performabuilt trans?

make sure the trans is level and not sagging down on its own weight. Supported by a jack. Sometimes the weight can cause the bellhousing to jam up on the dowel pins

i had the same problem in one of my cars.. trans wouldnt budge. i ended up getting a ratchet strap, finding a good spot on the trans to mount it/ wrap it to and started ratchting.... still wouldnt budge and i couldnt ratchet anymore so one i started prying slowly it finally gave.. GL and when you re-install it use some antisieze around the dowel pins
